622 Russian tourists arrive on a single day

Another 622 Russian tourists arrived in the country today from Russia, an official said.

Of them, 289 arrived on an Aeroflot flight and others on an Azur Air flight from two different destinations in Russia.
Former Sri Lankan Ambassador to Russia Udayanga Weeratunga told Daily Mirror, tourism was the only hope for foreign exchange earnings at this time and urged people not to sabotage the industry.

“There is no money coming from the International Monetary Fund until April next year,” he said.
