About 10 % of males in SL face domestic violence

• use of mobile phones and social media as  contributing factors
• Family Health Bureau has  taken decisive action by introducing a 24/7 hotline

About 10 per cent of males in the country have become victims of domestic violence, health authorities said.  

This includes physical violence, sexual violence and psychological violence.  

This was revealed by National Programme Manager of the  Women’s Health Unit at the Family Health Bureau, Dr. Nethanjalie  Mapitigama.
