Accident at Makumbura multimodal centre

 A private bus on Padukka- Pettah route that ran out of control had crashed into the Makumbura Multimodal Centre in Kottawa causing injuries to five individuals. Extensive damage had been caused to the building and the bus as well.   

 The injured were admitted to the Homagama base hospital and according to a spokesman for the hospital they were out of danger.,   

 The driver of the bus who is currently in custody, has stated that he lost control of the bus due to defective brakes.
