Advisory issued for thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning

Thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Western, Northwestern, North-central and Southern Provinces, according to the weather forecast issued yesterday.
According to the same forecast, there may be temporary localised strong winds during thundershowers. The public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimise damages caused by lightning activity.
