Agbo the tusker shot again

• The animal has been shot at by an unidentified person near the Wannammaduwa Tank in Thirappane

The Tusker Agbo who was said to have recovered from gunshot injuries has been shot and injured once again, Wildlife authorities said. 

Director Department of Wildlife M. J. C. Sooriyabandara said the animal has been shot at by an unidentified person near the Wannammaduwa Tank in Thirappane. Veterinary experts have rushed to the scene to treat the injured animal according to him.  Agbo is one of the few remaining wild giant tuskers in Sri Lanka. 

He is nearly 40 years old and about 10 feet tall.
