Air Quality Index of Colombo as of yesterday considered unhealthy

• As per the National Building Research Organisation AQI in the range of 101-150, indicates that members of sensitive groups may experience health effects

 Air Quality Index (AQI) of Colombo as of yesterday was 117, which is considered as an unhealthy level for sensitive groups. 

As per the data put out by National Building Research Organisation AQI in the range of 101-150, indicates that members of sensitive groups may experience health effects “Poor Air Quality may lead to mild symptoms such as difficulties in breathing, itchy nose, throat irritations, and slight fever, which would subside without any medication,’ it was reported.  People are requested to limit outdoor activities as a precautionary measure.
