An upstair house alleged to have been used as a training camp for the elite members of National Tawheed Jamaat (NTJ) was found at Aruppola in Kandy by the security forces.

After a comprehensive search operation by the Army, Air Force, Navy and the police, the two-storey luxury house surrounded by massive walls and a large garage had been found at Dharmashoka Lane in Aruppola, Kandy.

During the raid, the security forces found various equipment and a large collection of books alleged to have been used by extremists.

This building is supposed to have been maintained by a businessman as a guest house. From the records maintained in the guest house, information about the arrivals of terror groups had been revealed. It has been further revealed that the terrorists used to stay in this house in turns and conduct lesions and remain within for about two weeks unseen by anybody.
