Alleged misconduct: Trincomalee District Judge interdicted

Trincomalee District Judge M. Ganesharajah has been interdicted with immediate effect by the Judicial Services Commission.   

The letter of interdiction has been delivered to him on Thursday (12).   

The JSC that investigated an allegation of misconduct against him interdicted him after calling for an explanation.   
Trincomalee Chief Magistrate E. Payas Razaq has been appointed to act as the District Judge.
