BBS officially receives controversial V8 vehicle

• The official handing over ceremony was held at the Rajagiriya Saddharmarajika Viharaya last Sunday (11) by Dr. Walter Jayasinghe, a US resident and a long-term donor to the organization

The controversial Toyota Land Cruiser V8 luxury vehicle was officially handed over to Bodu Bala Sena (BBS) General Secretary, Ven. Galagodaaththe Gnanasara Thera by a long-term donor, Dr. Walter Jayasinghe to the organization.  

The BBS media division said many false rumours were circulated regarding this vehicle in the recent past.   

It was reported that Parliamentarian Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thera had offered Rs. 30 million to Ven. Gnanasara Thera to get the vehicle instead of his 
parliamentary seat.  

The official handing over ceremony was held at the Rajagiriya Saddharmarajika Viharaya last Sunday (11) by Dr. Walter Jayasinghe, a US resident and a long-term donor to the organization.  

On the same day, a child, Janidu, was ordained under the name Aganaketiye Gnanaseeha Thera at the temple.
