Bandula clashes with Wimal in Parliament over Radella accident

Transport Minister Bandula Gunawardena and MP Wimal Weerawansa engaged in a heated argument in Parliament when the latter obstructed Minister Gunawardena, who was making a ministerial statement regarding the recent accident in Radella.   

Transport Minister Bandula Gunawardena was making a special statement on the Radella accident in Parliament and Wimal Weerawansa who raised objections said it was a waste of time to allocate time for such statements.   

“I have heard and made ministerial statements in Parliament. I wonder what special statement is being made on a motor accident. If Ministers were to make special statements whenever motor accidents occur, we won’t be able to do any other business in Parliament” MP Weerawansa said.
