Bathiudeen, Army Chief at the PSC today

• An eight-member Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) headed by Deputy Speaker Ananda Kumarasiri was appointed to look into the Easter Sunday bomb attacks

Army Commander Mahesh Senanayake and former Minister Rishad Bathiudeen were summoned by the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) for its inquiry on the Easter Sunday attacks.   

Military Spokesman Brigadier Sumith Atapattu confirmed that Lieutenant General Senanayake, has been summoned to appear before the PSC today.  Meanwhile, former minister and All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) Leader Rishad Bathiudeen, was also summoned by the PSC.  

Sources said the former minister would appear before the PSC in the morning.

The other members of the PSC include Ministers Rauff Hakeem, Ravi Karunanayake, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, Ashu Marasinghe, Jayampathi Wickramaratne and M.A. Sumanthiran.
