Body of a two year old child from Aluthgama found in a canal

• Police with the help of rescue teams and residents of the area had been searching for his whereabouts

The body of a two and half year old child who had gone missing from a house at Pamankada in Neluwa off Galle since Saturday evening(15) was recovered last morning from a near by canal.   

The little boy Niven Devmina from Dharga Town in Aluthgama who had visited  his grandfather’s house with his parents  in Neluwa had gone missing and Neluwa police with the help of rescue teams and the residents of the area had been searching for his whereabouts.  

 The police were preparing to continue the search with the help of the Police Kennel Unit when his body was found.
