Body of inmate found hanging in prison

The body of an inmate who was detained in the Dumbara Prison in Pallekele on charges of drug trafficking was found hanging, Balagolla Police said.   
The victim has been identified as Rengasamy Yuvanes (27), a resident of Mahaiyava.   
The police say he was arrested by the Kandy Division Criminal Investigation Unit on charges of drug trafficking and remanded in custody.   
The body of the deceased lies at the Kandy National Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
