Borella cemetery to be brought under CCTV surveillance

A CCTV system is to be fixed in the cemetery and in the vicinity, Colombo Mayoress Rosy Senanayake said yesterday.  “We will initially bring a resolution to the Colombo Municipal Council Finance Committee, and then it has to be approved by the general council,” she said.  She also said only certain activities with regard to the cemetery are outsourced to Rakna Lanka. The decision to fix the CCTV came after businessman Dinesh Schaffter was found  inside the cemetery.
