Boy’s suspected suicide turns into murder case

 Investigations into the death of a schoolboy who was suspected of suicide have taken a dramatic turn, leading to the arrest of a Moulavi based on the postmortem report.

The 13-year-old boy from Kanthankudi was found dead in a Madrasa School in Saindamaradu last Sunday (3rd). 

It was initially suspected that he had committed suicide.

However, the JMO at Ampara Hospital, who performed the postmortem examination on Thursday evening, reported that the boy had died from pressure on his neck.

The Moulavi of the Madrasa School was subsequently arrested by Saindamaradu police.
