Bus priority lane rule will come into effect from November 1

• Rule effective during morning and evening office hours

The Bus Priority Lane rule will come into effect again on November 01, and a two-week period will be granted for bus drivers to adhere to the rule, MP Pradeep Undugoda said.  
This bus priority lane will come into effect in the morning office hours and in the evening office hours.   

Accordingly, the MP informed the Colombo Municipal Council that the signs stating that bus priority lanes are operational and the erased bus lanes sign boards should be re-marked, and the rule should be implemented from November 01.  

The MP informed of this when addressing the District Coordination Committee meeting held at the Colombo District Secretariat yesterday.  

MP Undugoda has given the bus drivers two weeks to comply with this law and advised the police to issue warnings during that time to the drivers who break the law.
