Cabinet decides to temporarily close Buddhist and Pali University

The Cabinet has decided to temporarily close the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka.

The Presidential Media Division (PMD) said it will be closed until an agreement is reached with Mahanayake Theras on its academic and administrative affairs. The PMD said the Cabinet decided to discuss with all the Mahanayake Theras to come to an agreement on the academic and administrative affairs of the Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka, and to close the university until then.
