Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Vadivel Suresh yesterday said there is no issue with him to work with President Ranil Wickremesinghe and that he will do what his people tell him to do.
“I have no problem working with the President and I will do what my people want me to do. I met both President and the Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa and told them what my people want and I will do what they tell me to do,” he told journalists after he met Mr. Premadasa at the Opposition Leader’s office.
“I told the President about the plight of the people in the estate sector which I talked of during the May Day rally. “I told him about the wages and informed him that a total of 9000 hectares have been abandoned in my area and that this has increased the population of leopards in the area. I told him these animals are causing problems to the people. The President promised to call up all stakeholders in the plantations including the companies, trade unions and the state officers for a meeting and resolve all issues,” he said.
“Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa promised to visit my electorate in Badulla soon,” he also said.
