Cattle struck by lightning

• Medagama area had experienced thunder showers on Monday evening 
• The seven head of cattle had found shelter in the shade of a breadfruit tree

Seven head of cattle that found shelter under a tree in Alamulla in Medagama during heavy rain had died when lightning struck them.   

Medagama area had experienced thunder showers on Monday evening (24) and the seven head of cattle had found shelter in the shade of a breadfruit tree.  Police requested the public to be cautious during thunder and heavy rain experienced in the evening.
