This is to bring to your attention the news published on the Daily Mirror newspaper dated January 2, 2023 titled “Regulation of Elections Expenditure Bill to be taken up on the 5th”

The said news contains inaccurate information pertaining to the Regulation of Elections Expenditure Bill stating that the Media Unit of the Parliament of Sri Lanka provided such Information.

We wish to inform that the Media Unit has not provided such information as stated and that accurate information be obtained with due diligence prior to publication.   Therefore, I request that steps be taken to rectify this news and give it the same priority as the previous news.
