Confusion surrounds SJB’s national list selections

• Ranjith Madduma Bandara states that only his name has been finalised

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) seems to be facing a confusing situation as well in deciding who should enter the legislature through the national list with its General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara stating that only his name has been finalised while former MP Sujeewa Senasinghe claims that his name has also been finalised.

Madduma Bandara told Daily Mirror that his party will decide on the National List slots around Thursday, November 21.

“I will be entering Parliament on the National List as the General Secretary of the party,” Madduma Bandara told Daily Mirror.

“Only my name is confirmed yet. The others will be decided upon by Thursday,” he added.

Senasinghe said his name is also finalised together with the name of the General Secretary. “Only our two names are finalised at the moment while others will be decided upon later,” he said.

SJB obtained five National List slots, while NDF obtained two at this year’s General Election.
