Crisis in lebanon: Few Sri Lankans stranded due to volatile situation in Lebanon – Embassy

• No Sri Lankans have been seriously affected by the situation so far

A few Sri Lankans who have been stranded due to the volatile situation in Lebanon have been given shelter, the Sri Lanka Embassy in Beirut said yesterday.

“The Sri Lanka Embassy is maintaining constant contact with Sri Lankan associations and individual Sri Lankans registered with the Embassy. Ambassador Kapila Jayaweera and officers of the Sri Lanka Embassy are providing assistance to Sri Lankans as required,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.  

However, the statement said that no Sri Lankans have been seriously affected by the situation so far.
