Death of Dinesh Schaffter Panel of medical experts to be appointed next week

• The Court has received a list of medical experts provided by the Director General of Health Services and the Chairman of University Grants Commission

Colombo Additional Magistrate Rajindra Jayasuriya yesterday informed that a five-member-panel of medical experts are to be appointed next week to perform a fresh postmortem inquiry into the death of Dinesh Schaffter, in order to ascertain whether the death was a murder or suicide

.   
The Additional Magistrate informed that the Court has received a list of medical experts provided by the Director General of Health Services and the Chairman of University Grants Commission in complying with the previous court order.   

The Additional Magistrate made these remarks when the Magisterial inquiry into the death of Dinesh Schaffter was called before open court yesterday.   

The Additional Magistrate further stated that the members of the medical expert committee to be appointed seniority-based in order to ascertain the cause of the death of the deceased.   
Further Magisterial inquiry fixed for February 27.
