Doctor arrested for sexual harassment

A doctor of the Anuradhapura Divisional Health Services Director’s office was arrested on suspicion of causing sexual harassment to a woman who called over at his private medical centre at Puliyankulama for treatment. 

Police arrested him during investigations of a complaint received from a 29-year-old woman in the area.
He was produced in court and released on personal bail of Rs.200,000 and his passport was impounded.

HQI Anuradhapura Police CI R.M.Jayaweera is conducting further investigations.
