Drug dealer ‘Manna Ramesh’ apprehended in Dubai

Underworld leader Ramesh Priyajanaka, also known as ‘Manna Ramesh,’ was detained in Sharjah, Dubai on Monday, informed sources said yesterday.   Manna Ramesh and his spouse were apprehended while travelling in a car, based on intelligence provided by another underworld gang leader purportedly residing in Dubai.

A high-ranking police official disclosed that Manna Ramesh’s criminal syndicate was operational in Avissawella and adjacent areas, with a record of numerous offences such as murder, drug trade, and coercion for financial gain from individuals engaged in diverse enterprises.
