Duplicate Dalada Maligawa CID records statement from Diyawadana Nilame of Kandy

• A senior CID official said the statements of several others would be recorded

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) yesterday recorded a statement from the Diyawadana Nilame of Kandy Dalada Maligawa regarding the controversial duplicate Dalada Maligawa in Pothuhera in Kurunegala.   
The CID conducting investigations of the joint complaint made by Mahanayake Theras of the Malwatta and Asgiriya Chapters and him to President Ranil Wickremesinghe in this regard had recorded his statement. 

Diyawadana Nilame Nilanga Dela confirmed that he made a statement to the CID regarding the letter submitted to the President.  A senior CID official said the statements of several others would be recorded.
