Ear lobe cut off for using cellular phone while walking on road

A young man whose ear lobe was cut off by another individual accusing him of using the cellular phone while walking along the road, was admitted to Metigahathenna District hospital in Madolsima on Wednesday night (08).  

The victim was a disabled young man about 29 years of age from Kuruvigolla in Madolsima.   

He stated to police that he was answering a call over his phone when another pedestrian whom he met accused him of using the phone on the road and cut off his earlobe with a knife and assaulted him.  

Madolsima police are conducting further investigations.
