Concerns have been raised over the tragic death of a  24-year-old woman at the Wijaya Kumaratunga Memorial Hospital in  Seeduwa, with her family members alleging that a vaccine may have been  linked to her death.

While a comprehensive investigation is underway over the  tragic death, the hospital authorities dismissed claims of a vaccine  being administered to the woman.

Speaking to Daily Mirror, a top source of the hospital said  the hospital is awaiting the results of the government analyst report,  which would further shed light on the actual cause of the death.

Speaking to Daily Mirror, a top source of the hospital said  the hospital is awaiting the results of the government analyst report,  which would further shed light on the actual cause of the death.

However, reports suggest that family members have claimed to have a link to a vaccine to her death.

Responding to this, a senior health official said it’s  premature to draw conclusions until the results of the ministerial  investigation is out.

The woman was admitted to the hospital on the morning of  October 2 after experiencing severe stomach acidity (gastritis) since  the day before. The deceased was a resident of Hasalaka.
