Frequent flyer nabbed with Rs.20 million gold

A passenger who attempted to make exit through the Green Channel was arrested by Customs officers for having in his possession a consignment of jewellery valued more than Rs.20 million.   

The passenger who arrived from Doha Qatar on Saturday night (29) and attempted to make exit through the Green Chanel was checked on suspicion to find the stock of contraband in his baggage.  

A senior customs official said the 47 year old suspect passenger was a resident of Jaffna and was in the habit of making constant trips to foreign countries.  
He was being further interrogated by Customs officers.
