Fuel QR quota Weekly top-up day set to Tuesday

Not necessary to re-register; use existing code

• Decision was taken to reduce the cost of distribution

The weekly top-up day for the National Fuel Pass QR Quota had been revised, and the consumers were requested not to re-register for their allocated weekly fuel quota but to use the existing code, the Power and Energy Ministry said.  

According to Minister Kanchana Wijesekera, the weekly top-up day for the National Fuel Pass QR Quota has been changed to Tuesdays instead of Sundays.   He said all accounts had been topped up last morning.  The decision was taken to reduce the cost of distribution by operating Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) and Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Limited (CPSTL) on weekends.   However, the fuel quotas will remain unchanged, he said.
