GCE Ordinary Level exam: They studied and they conquered

Malsha Kumaratungage of Sanghamitta College Galle came first in the island at the GCE Ordinary level examination 2023, while Kulani Methsala of Musaeus College became second. Jayanande Rathnaweera of Maliyadeva College Kurunegala has claimed the third slot.   

The results of the Ordinary level examination were released on Saturday and were published on www.doenets.lk and www.results.exams.gov.lk  

The examination was held on earlier this year  where 4, 52,979 students sat for it. Some 3,87,648 applied from schools while 65,331 had applied privately.   

Around 2.22 percent of students had failed the examination according to the Department of Examinations.
