Gas prices to be revised next month

• Price of a 5 kg cylinder and a 2.3 kg cylinder to be increased accordingly
• Price revision would take effect on February 5

The retail prices of domestic gas cylinders, including 12.5 kg, could be revised, a senior official of Litro Gas Lanka Ltd said.   

He said the price of a 5 kg cylinder and a 2.3 kg cylinder will be increased accordingly.   

He said that the price revision would take effect on February 5, and the decision will have to be made with fluctuations in the world market.  

The 12.5 kg domestic LITRO gas cylinders were reduced by Rs. 201, and the current retail price is Rs. 4,409. The 5 kg gas cylinder is reduced by Rs.80 and the retail price is Rs.1,870.   

The 2.3 kg cylinder was reduced by Rs. 38 and the current price will be Rs.822.
