General Election on November 14

• Nominations from October 4 to 11

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has issued a Gazette Extraordinary dissolving Parliament last night.   

Accordingly, the General Election will be held on November 14, 2024, and the nominations for the upcoming election will be accepted from October 4 to 11.   

Following the election, the new Parliament is scheduled to be convened on November 21.
