A political tsunami will take place by the end October this year in which all corrupt politicians will be wiped out, former MP and Head of Samagi Wanitha Balawegaya Hirunika Premachandra said yesterday.

“ I might be called in for an inquiry from the CID for making this remark but this revolution is definitely going to take place by the end of October. “ The incumbent President will suffer the same fate as his predecessor when the political tsunami strikes,” Premachandra said in a media briefing.

Asked as to when this uprising will take place she said no one will do it with a pre-warning. One may recall that it was women who took the lead during the last Aragalaya and this will be repeated soon,” she said.

Premachandra said the days which the incumbent President will reign are numbered.

“ It was the middle class people who took to the street last time but it will be poor people who will lead the uprising this time.” she added/

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MP Dr. Kavinda Jayawardene who also participated in the press conference said the government will be compelled to hold an election early next year as the present regime will last only this Christmas given the plight which some sectors are undergoing including the fishing community .
