Ill-fated KDU bus driven by driver with suspended license

The driver of the bus which was involved in the fatal accident in Badulla had driven the bus with a fake license after his license was suspended by the Galle Magistrate over an accident.  
It was revealed that the license had been suspended three months ago and the suspect driver had obtained a temporary license after producing fake documents. 

He had been involved in a hit and run case on August 5 at Labuduwa in Akmeemana and his license had been suspended for five months by the Galle Additional Magistrate Lakmini Widanagamage with a fine of Rs. 50,000.
He had filed a fake complaint at the Udugama police claiming that his license was lost and had obtained a temporary license.
