Islamic religious textbooks revised in conformity with recommendations: Edu. Minister

Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said Islamic religious textbooks for Grade 6- 11 were revised in conformity with the recommendations by the Defence Ministry and distributed.

He said minor amendments were made in the contents upon discussion with a committee of Islamic scholars.
He scotched speculation that he took steps to distribute textbooks with extremist content.
