Lanza challenges AKD to prove party financing sources

• Calls NPP Leader Anura Dissanayake for a public debate

SLPP MP Nimal Lanza yesterday challenged the National People’s Power Leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake for a public debate on the economic situation in the country.

MP Lanza threw this challenge while speaking during the adjournment debate on President Ranil Wickremesinghe’s policy statement yesterday.

“ I have challenged Anura Dissanayake for a public debate on an earlier occasion as well, but he avoided it. However, I challenge him once again for a public debate on the economic situation in the country,” MP Lanza said.
“NPP MPs say their friends provide for them. They say their friends provide them with clothes and money. This is a lie. They should disclose their real sources of funding. The JVP made use of people’s frustration and launched arson attacks on us. They will have to pay for their deeds,” he added.

“NPP MPs say they are able to get foreign remittance, and they will also borrow. That is what this government is doing. 

One wonders what NPP are talking about,” he also said.
