Lawyer sued for damages on professional negligence

An expatriate Financial and Tax Consultant of Washington DC  has sued a Sri Lankan Lawyer for Rs.100 Million for professional  negligence on the part of the lawyer and the purchaser of a property of  the plaintiff for Rs. 6 Million for illegal ejectment of the Financial  and Tax Consultant and his staff from the purchased premises.

Plaintiff Kosala G.Tantula an expatriate Sri Lankan  living in the USA had sued the lawyer B. K. Shaminda Jayasekera and the  purchaser Dinuka Jayamal Earnest Fonseka for Rs 100,000,000 and Rs.  6,000,000 respectively for not registering the notarial deed executed by  the lawyer in the concerned folio at the Land Registry and the purchase  for forcibly ejecting the Plaintiff and his staff from the purchased  premises from occupancy while a valid deed was in force.  The two cases were filed in the Colombo District Court by  the instructing lawyers of the plaintiff and the court issued summons on  the defendants.
