Litro gas prices likely to increase today: Chairman

  • In July, Litro Gas earlier announced the reduction of the retail price of a 12.5kg domestic Litro gas cylinder to Rs. 2,982. The 5 kg gas cylinder was brought to Rs. 1,198, and the retail price of the 2.3 kg cylinder was brought to Rs.561

Litro Gas Lanka Chairman Muditha Peiris is set to announce the new domestic gas price revision today (04) as it recorded the highest price per metric ton of gas in the world market.  


Peiris highlighted the significant increase of over 103 US dollars per metric ton of gas in the international market.  
In light of these higher global prices, there will be a revision of domestic gas prices.  


“The gas price will increase today due to global prices,” he said.
