Man arrested for allegedly killing wife’s paramour

A man was arrested by Ratnapura Police for allegedly killing his wife’s paramour.  

A 24-year-old victim had died after he was assaulted and tied to a tree by the husband of the woman.  

The Ratnapura Police launched an investigation following information that a man was assaulted and tied to a tree at Hidellana in Ratnapura last night.  
The injured man was admitted to the Ratnapura Hospital and died while undergoing treatment at the ICU.  

Investigations revealed that the victim, a resident of Kuruwita had been in an illicit affair with a woman and when he visited the woman’s house on Saturday night, the husband of the woman had assaulted him and tied him to a tree outside the house.  

The Police arrested the 37-year-old suspect over the murder.
