Man shoots himself after shooting woman in Vavuniya

Police have launched investigations after a 24-year-old man shot himself dead after killing a 26-year-old woman in Parayanalakulam, Vavuniya early last morning.  Police said the 119 emergency hotline received a call that a woman has been shot dead in a house and the suspect had also committed suicide.  

 Police said both the victim and the suspect were identified as residents of the area.  

Investigations revealed that the deceased is a married woman and resides in Parayanalakulam with her husband and child and the suspect had shot her at the house due to a dispute.  
She reportedly had an affair with the suspect before her marriage.  The Parayanalakulam police are conducting further investigations.
