Manmohan Singh, architect of India’s Economic reforms dies

Former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh dies at age of 92 , Indian media reported yesterday.  Dr. Singh who is an economist was the Governor of Reserve Bank of India till the late 1980s and was appointed as the Minister of Finance in 1991 by the Narasimha Rao administration in 1991.  
 
He took India out of the economic crisis and brought about economic reforms and turned the Indian economy into one of the largest in the globe.   
He earned a doctorate in economics from the University of Oxford.
