Mayantha, Rajitha and Fowzi absent at May Day

• Mayantha Dissanayake ,Rajitha Senaratne and A.H.M.Fowzi were notable absentees at the party’s May Day rally

Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) MPs Mayantha Dissanayake and Rajitha Senaratne were notable absentees at the party’s May Day rally yesterday. 

The MPs were not seen at the procession which began from P. D. Sirisena Ground and also at the rally.  

Daily mirror learnt that Dissanayake had left the country for a personal matter.  

SJB MP A. H. M. Fowzi, who voted in favor of the IMF extended financial facility (EFF) agreement last week, was also absent.  Meanwhile Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa said no one in the SJB can keep one foot in the party and keep the other one in another camp. “ I would like to tell those SJB members who are in two minds to leave the party,” he said.
