Medicines worth Rs 32 Mn suspended in 2022 owing to poor condition

Medicines, surgical and laboratory materials valued at Rs 349 million have been removed from use due to quality failures  in 2022.
This was revealed in the annual report of the Auditor General for 2022.

According to the report, another stock of medicines valued at Rs 32 million were suspended owing to failure of the condition.

Meanwhile, the life span of over seven million doses of Pfizer vaccines worth 10,736 million  expired in 2022 and thus were destroyed without being used.
These vaccines were purchased under the World  Bank loan.
