Minister says police have no vehicles to nab criminals

Public Security Minister Tiran Alles said yesterday that many Police stations in the country do not have vehicles in order to perform their duties.

The Minister made these observations following the handing over of 125 vehicles by the Indian government to Sri Lanka.


The Minister said these new vehicles very important for the police to combat theft and drugs, and the police have not been able to procure vehicles for the past 3 years.
