More cabinet ministers likely to be appointed this month: SB

• Gamini Lokuge, Janaka Bandara Tennakoon, Johnston Fernando, S. M. Chandrasena, C.B. Rathnayake, Rohitha Abeygunawardena and Sarath Weerasekera were among the list of names

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) MP S.B. Dissanayake said that President Ranil Wickremesinghe will appoint several cabinet ministers including himself soon.  He told a television talk show that at least nine more cabinet ministers will probably be appointed by this month.   He said that it is important for the president to appoint a good cabinet.  

The MP said that Gamini Lokuge, Janaka Bandara Thennakone, Johnston Fernando, S. M. Chandrasena, C.B. Rathnayaka, Rohitha Abeygunawardena and Sarath Weerasekera were among the list of names that have been proposed to the President. Pavithra Wanniarachchi’s name was also among the list and that she was appointed earlier as a cabinet minister.  
When asked whether former minister Namal Rajapaksa’s name was also proposed, the MP said Rajapaksa’s name is not among the list.
