Mother of Altair victim to sue CIS for alleged negligence

The mother of Jivon Zoro Singh, a 15-year old student from Colombo International School who fell from the 67th floor of the Altair luxury apartment complex on July 2, 2024 has been fighting to serve justice for her son’s untimely death. While denying all claims of a suicide, Jivon’s mother Mona Rocky blames the school for alleged negligence and lack of duty of care in the part of the School that led to the tragedy. In a letter of demand addressed to school officials, Mona has demanded a sum of Rs. 500,000,000 while affirming that she would file legal action against the school in order to serve justice to her late son.
