Motorcycle exchanged for four packets of heroin

 A drug addict who sold a motorcycle valued more than Rs.500,000 for four packets of heroin of which the market value was about Rs.8000, and the individual who bought the motorcycle were remanded till March 14 by Minuwangoda Acting Magistrate Indika Ratnayake.  

  The buyer of the motorcycle had in his possession 5.8 grams of heroin at the time of arrest.   


 The suspects U.K.M.Shehan Madusanka of Batepola in Divulapitya and R.A. Sumith Pushpakumara of Ihalagama in Mabodale had been arrested by Divulapitiya Police.   


 Police told court that the Suspect Shehan Madusanka had stolen the motorcycle from Katana area and sold it for four packets of heroin to the other suspect Sumith Pushpakumara. The latter who rode the motorcycle to Pallewela area and met with an accident. He had left the motorcycle by the roadside and fled from the scene.
