Mujibur’s CMC Mayoral candidature confirmed

• Decision announced by party leader Sajith Premadasa at the SJB working committe

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has confirmed that its Colombo District MP Mujibur Rahman would be its mayoral candidate for the Colombo Municipal Council.   
The decision was announced by party leader Sajith Premadasa at the SJB working committe on Saturday.   

Rahman when contacted by Dailymirror said he would resign from Parliament only after it is confirmed that the local government election is to be held as scheduled.   
“ I have to look at the situation as it has to be confirmed that local government polls will be held as planned without a postponement.
