Mysterious death of a four-year old girl

A four-year-old girl who was sleeping had died suddenly yesterday afternoon, Horana police said.

The deceased has been identified as Sasuki Ananya Sesanti from Dikhenapura, Horana.

According to the initial investigations, the girl had gone to sleep with her mother yesterday afternoon as usual and when the mother woke up, the girl had still appeared to be asleep.
When she checked on the sleeping child the mother had noticed that the girl had passed urine, while getting ready to change the girl’s clothes, the mother had felt that the girl’s body was lifeless and taken the child to the Horana Base hospital. The doctors, who examined the girl there had informed her that she was dead.

The girl’s post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted today(12).
